Summer skates will begin the week of July 15th. There will be two session on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings concluding on Wednesday, August 14th. 

The boys will be two different groups, each group will have 10 on ice sessions. For the first two weeks, first year Spartans will focus on skills sessions, set plays and, system concepts with Coach Poulakidas. The remaining sessions will be controlled scrimmages. 

Second, third and fourth year players will run drills the first week and then move on to controlled scrimmages. 

The summer session also includes coach run 10 to 15 off-ice conditioning sessions (weather permitting)...aka 'The Hill'

Summer Session Fee: Spartan Skater $250, Spartan Goalies $125. There will be no proration of fees for missed sessions. If a Spartan is likely to miss a significant number of on-ice or off-ice sessions please reach out to Jeff Sandler.

All players should work out independently throughout the summer. Expected Varsity players should turn in specific completed workout reports to Coach Poulakidas.



Registration and Payment will be on-line only. There will be no payments for the Summer Program via Zelle, Venmo or other service other than the GBN Spartan Web Site.

As part of the account setup you will need to provide your player's current 2023/24 USA hockey registration number. you can request the number from USA hockey if you need your registration number.

New 2024/25 USA hockey registration will not be required until the fall registration
